Experience points and Reputation
At Crown of Septima, the art you create can be tallied for points to further progress your characters and personal standing within the game. This tally is maintained by yourself and added to the end of the description within your deviations to keep track of your points. You are responsible for keeping track and making sure you count your art so that you don't miss out on any goodies for your characters or yourself!
Every character you create will have their own tallied points, called EXPERIENCE POINTS or EXP. So for example, if you own Character A and Character B, their EXP is NOT shared. They will each have their own specific tally. In addition to individual character EXP, you as the player have your own tally, called REPUTATION or Rep. Rep is the total tally of all your art and your character's gained EXP. For example, if you draw a picture of character A and then another picture of character B, the exp you gain from BOTH pictures are added to your rep. So in conclusion, your submitted artwork should contain two tallies: |

Free submission artwork (no EXP)
At Crown of Septima, all artwork is accepted into our Daily Lives of Adventurers folder freely, with the caveat that it is of high quality and effort. Even if it maybe just a sketch or concept design, if you think it's worth showing to the group and adding to our gallery as a complete piece of art, feel free to add it to this folder! (Extremely low effort or spam-like submissions will still be moderated, however, so please exercise some caution.)
Artwork submitted to the Daily Lives of Adventurers folder does not gain EXP.
There are no limitations to the number of pieces you can submit to the Daily Lives folder, but please check below for what is not allowed.

Artwork that counts towards EXP
While all art is allowed, only certain subjects and group prompts will earn your characters the EXP they need to grow. By participating in prompts or drawing your own canonical story artwork for your characters, your character can keep accumulating EXP each week, even if all you have time for is a weekly quest.
All artwork must depict one of your own registered characters to be added to these folders, but you are free to add guest characters for fun! Drawing extra characters do not earn any extra EXP or bonuses.
All EXP earning artwork is required to be logged in your character's tracker. Don't forget to also add the EXP to your total reputation count!

Grace of Shiramine Bonus EXP Roll (for full illustrations) (optional)
If you draw a piece that has full shading and background (for ANY artwork submitted to the group), you may go to our #rolling channel on Discord and ping @roll with the qualifying submission. Please be sure to mention that it's for the BG bonus. Once you do, go ahead and immediately use the following command: !roll If you roll 1 to 5, feel free to add 10 EXP to your artwork. If you roll a 6, add 30 EXP to your art! Be sure to add your bonus EXP to the description of your artwork, and also to the character's tracker you are giving the EXP to. Artwork that a moderator thinks is deserving of high praise and merit may also offer the artist the chance to do a bonus roll as well. Aim for the best! |
Quick Tip: Backgrounds For art to count for the Grace of Shiramine bonus, the piece must display an attempt at depth, perspective and character interaction with the background. Try the following:

How to show your exp and rep in the description
Exactly how you format it is up to you, but we ask that on every submission to the group gallery that your tallies look something like this:
+GAINED EXP / NEW TOTAL REP CHARACTER: NEW TOTAL EXP Your total EXP for the piece is listed with a +. Your new total reputation can be beside it. Characters gaining EXP in the artwork should be listed below (and how much each earns, if applicable). Some examples:
|
But wait! The picture I drew has more than one of my characters in it! You may split the EXP between the characters, or only choose to give the EXP to one character in the artwork. Only characters depicted in the artwork may earn the EXP. For example, if you draw a picture with Character A and B, you can give A 50% and B 50%, or give A 100% or B 0%. Any split is fine as long as it's calculated correctly. Remember to tally your reputation still! |
Okay, so now my character has all this EXP... Now what?
