Prologue
W-01: First Steps
Quest Giver
Receptionist Vertical Divider
|
The Receptionist gives you a look over, her eyes peering over her glasses as she surveys you. "Look, there has been a lot of new adventurer's lately. Why don't you get acquainted with one of them? Maybe you can spar with one of them." She seems impatient. "Hurry along, now, I don't have time to help you all day."
|
W-02: Preparation
Quest Giver
Guild Captain Vertical Divider
|
The bustle of the guild surrounds you, with various new and veteran adventurers all gathered in the lobby. One of the guild captains step forward, and motion for the new adventurers to listen. "The most important things for new 'venturers like you all to know is to be prepared, and be vigillant. Before taking any quests, you should all prepare your bags and materials for anything that could happen." Those listening seem to nod quietly, ready to prepare their equipment. "We have some basic equipment for you to choose from, but don't be disappointed if they're kinda old..."

W-03: Jelly Nice to Meet You!
Quest Giver
Guild Apothecary Vertical Divider
|
"One of the main items an adventurer needs to keep themselves healthy is having an item called a Rorogel on hand. These squishy, fruit-tasting medicinal gels are made with an advanced distilling technique of rorum. While it's mostly made of rorum, it's also made partially from the gelatinous remains of a slime, an equally squishy creature with no known real function.. other than be fodder for budding adventurers." The apothecary adjusts his glasses, motioning to you directly. "YOUR job is to bring me some of the jelly from the slime, so that I can make more rorogels for you adventurers. To buy, not for free." The tall, lanky man opens up a map over the table, showing the immediate plains around Alton. The map is circled on the plains with areas that the slimes exist. "They can be under rocks, or in trees. Look around for them, they're quite common."

W-04: Rest for the weary
Quest Giver
Roc Roost's Innkeeper Vertical Divider
|
Witnessing that the new adventurers of the Quicksilvers guild have been working hard at their tasks, the generous innkeeper of Roc Roost has made a decision to accomodate for the long day. The Roc Roost is a fair sized inn located only a stone's throw away from the guild, and is often the go-to resting spot for even the veterans after a long day of work. Not only the food is affordable and good- simple yet fulfiling meals prepared for even the roughest of journeys, the lodging is utmost stellar. Among the many rooms are beds made of the finest of felt and feather, a sight most welcoming to the weary. It might be good to get a good night sleep, or have a hearty meal while you are at it, tend to your wounds and what not, before a new day of adventuring begins.

W-05: Rain cheque
Quest Giver
Roc Roost's Innkeep Vertical Divider
|
After staying at the inn, it seems that the weather has changed for the worse and the rain has come in from the north. The citizens of Alton know the season as the Falling Tears of the Goddess, a blessed time where spring is sure to be around the corner. However, as blessed as the time may be for farmers and serfs, the weather makes it hard for adventurers to travel out and around the city and it's outskirts. "So," the innkeep wipes down a tankard, eyeing you quietly. "What'll ya do? It'll just be a muddy mess outside, though you're welcome to still leave. Or you can stay in the city and visit the shops. Yer choice."
|
W-06: open doors
Quest Giver
Receptionist Vertical Divider
|
Having noted your achievements thus far in the Quicksilver guild, the receptionist asks for your membership card and places a careful stamp on it. "This stamp will allow you into several places in Alton. The first is the Grand Library, where a great selection of books are able to be borrowed and studied. It's nothing like the library in Tomasingen, but it's still big. The second is free use of the Guild's potion stands, where you can fill and make your own rorogels and place them into flasks for safekeeping. Whichever you do, it's good to get acquainted with all the city has to offer."

W-07: Spring has sprung
Quest Giver
Leader Y'sameld Vertical Divider
|
A heavy hand claps onto your back. As you turn, a wolf-like grin spreads on the face of a woman you don't fully recognize. Her gaze pierces you, and as you open your mouth to say something, she bursts out laughing. "Aye, what a good batch of green leafs we have this spring? I've seen you all work hard like little mice scutllin' about." She stomps forward, kicking off her boots and opting to go barefoot on the rather disgusting floors of the guild hall. She looks down. "Mm, a bit filthy.. Let's do a bit of clean up, now? How about it?" The other guild workers seemed to already be picking up their brooms and rags...
