Frequently asked, frequently updated!
There are many systems working together in this ARPG that make it quite unique, but at the same time may make it challenging for new players to join in. This FAQ will be updated often to try an answer as many questions as we can. If you need support, please visit the #support channel on our Discord server (open to the public as well).

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A NEW OC AND A SUMMONED OC?
A new OC is "born" in Septima, they are natives that live on the island. This may be a human, or one of the many races part of the lore. We welcome anyone to create characters that are lore specific. If you have an existing character that you want to revise to be a Septima native, you can do that, too! But they will have to be revamped to be lore-friendly, and approved in the proper journal.
A summoned OC is a character that you want to bring into Septima without any changes to them. This applies mostly to characters like outside-group species, purchased designs or any other variant that you do not want any changes to. They are not lore-locked, so they can have whatever original magic or skills, but do not transfer to the official Potential System. Summoned OCs will also be unable to enjoy Racial bonuses.

DO I HAVE TO JOIN DISCORD / THE DISCORD SERVER TO PARTICIPATE?
No. If you do not want to track any EXP, or do not want to interact with other players on the server, we won't make you! You can enjoy our lore and simply create basic characters.
However, if you want to still add skills to your characters, you must track EXP for each character still, and please note that many of the group mechanics are Discord-dependant and tied to Discord accounts.
You will not be able to:
Please consider joining our Discord to fully open up your options and enjoy our game to the fullest! It is FREE, requires no downloads, and is fully accessible through your browser and smartphone app!

You will not be able to:
- Open any slots on your character's potential grid, as Stimulants are only purchasable through the Discord shop
- Purchase any items on our shop like equipment, items or pets that will help your boost your character’s potential rating
- Participate in any Jobs, Raids, or any other events that have a minimum potential rating of over 44 (due to the above two points)

CAN I DELETE/REMOVE MY CHARACTER FROM THE REGISTRY?
Yes, you are allowed to request the deletion and removal of your character from the official database. Doing so will remove your character and all their EXP from our Masterlist and data, and it is NOT reversible, so decide carefully!
Your character’s registry number will not open up to new characters. It will simply show as “removed”.
Deleting a character opens up one of your character slots to make way for a new one, or to leave blank.
You have the option to take 50% of the deleted character’s total EXP and transfer it to a new character (cannot be already existing on the masterlists). Simply make a note in the approval comment that the new character will start with 50% of your old character’s EXP (please provide registry number of the old character), and you are free to choose new skills for your new character.
Character deletion is also subject to a Silvers currency fee (meaning if you are not on the Discord server, you cannot delete your character to free up slots).

HOW DO INVITATIONS WORK?
As you may know, CoS is invite-only. Invites are an endorsement of your good behaviour—It is a promise from the person that invited you that you will follow the rules and create meaningful, open-minded discussions focused on listening. A prospective member cannot submit a character to our Adventurer Registry folder, so they must first be a full member to participate.
The invitation itself is an item on the Silvers Shop called the Recommendation Letter, and the inviter must buy it with 250 Silvers (our game currency) and use it with the appropriate command, stating who they intend the invitation for. They must also state a reason for inviting the prospective member, and then the moderation team will review all aspects of the invitee's DeviantART profile, including but not limited to their gallery, journals, comments, statuses, etc.
We reserve the right to reject any member that we think will cause trouble, create a toxic environment, or be hateful towards others.
Some things to remember:
We all assume responsibility here, and we do not tolerate immaturity or bad behaviour. This system is put into place so that every party is responsible for following the rules: us to enforce it and make the rules clear, and you and your friends to keep yourselves in check.

Some things to remember:
- The person inviting you has used some of their hard earned money to buy you an invite! Please do not squander their kindness and the opportunity by breaking our rules. If you are a bad seed, it will reflect badly on your inviter as well.
- Inviters: PLEASE choose your invitees carefully. You are only allowed to use 1 invite a week, and we log every person invited under your name. If there's any trouble with the people you invite, we will investigate and possibly revoke invite privileges if you have proven to invite problematic people.

Is there an activity check for this group?
No, there is no activity check. If you are busy, or you want to take a break, or for any reason can't participate, please do not feel obligated to! All your items and character will be exactly as they are as long as you don't delete them.
Can I change my character's design/Artwork on their tracker?
You are always allowed to update the artwork on your character's tracker.
Design-wise:
For Septima Natives, Summoned character, or OCs in general: Yes, you may! However, some restrictions apply.
For Roravi: No, the basic, naked design of your Roravi may not change. Their designs and traits are fixed because they are sold as a closed species. They are NOT an evolving species. Their clothes and hair may be freely designed and changed.
For Nyaga: Yes! It's highly encouraged that you update your Nyaga's tracker whenever you add a new upgrade to it, so that people can have an accurate reference at all times. In the very least, keep the upgrades list on your Nyaga's tracker up to date with changes.

- They must still be the 'same character', meaning, for example, if your character was a human and suddenly they're a Fell-Beast, that's a no.
- Unacceptable changes to your characters include but are not limited to : dramatic changes in body shape, changing natural eye/skin/hair colours
- Basically, if it can't suddenly happen in real life, it shouldn't happen to your character
- Clothing, hair styles, accessories, weapon designs can all freely change

Can I create an NPC (Non-player Character / non-Registered character)?
Yes, but with some limitations!
We welcome people to create characters and stories freely within the written lore of Septima. If you simply want to create side characters for roleplay or writing purposes only, you are free to do so without need for permission.
We ask kindly that all depictions of Roravi or Nyaga NPCs be plain, side characters, as they are closed and semi-closed species. They should not have any traits above common and must be clearly labelled as an NPC.
