the island crown of septima
The Island Crown of Septima is a wide, lush archipelago surrounded with endless ocean. The far reaches of the waters have never been fully explored, as all ships that attempt to swim outward are mysteriously turned back. The islands are far enough spread to experience a general difference in temperature between the northern most islands and southern most, but in general they are a temperate, varied place home to many biomes and fauna. Although the island has been mapped by mainly Nyaga explorers that have ventured to all corners of the islands, there remains some areas of unexplored wilderness such as deep forest and ruins that many adventurers are eager to venture into.
The island chain is broken up into several mainlands, 8 of which are currently known to the citizens of Septima. Each island is adorned with beautiful mountain ranges and wide areas of greenery that support ample agriculture and development. While there are niche groups of people that can survive on hunting and gathering within the mountain ranges, the most prosperous areas were the farming and trade towns near water routes and the shores. With general accessibility to the ocean, boating and ship trade is by far the most popular way for humans to move goods and themselves around quickly.

General Population and StatisticsThe islands, while densely formed, do not create any major landmass that is larger than the others, with the exception of the main middle island that houses the majority of the human population. Approximately 3700 km wide from coast to coast, and 3200 km from the northern-most island to the southern-most, Septima's total population (while possibly inaccurate due to difficulties in finding small communities and areas) is approximately 34 million across all races and species.
Humans make up 37% of this total, with close to 13 million people. The majority live in the main centre island, with the main human capital of Alton-by-the-Riversmeet containing a large population of 88,225 people of all races. Fell Beasts and Mortesians are included in this statistic. Roravi populations are rumoured to total approximately 18% of the total population, around 6 million individuals, with Nyaga populations guessed to be about 7%, at 2.3 million. |
Alton-by-the-RiversmeetAlton-by-the-Riversmeet, also known as simply Alton, is the human capital of Septima. Stationed at the delta of a major river connection and with wide ocean access, the city is well known as a fantastic merchant and adventurer hub. They say that there's nothing one cannot buy with enough Silvers in Alton.
The surrounding fields around Alton are mostly farmland, with under the protection of various lords and populated with the common, working class. While these fields are mainly protected by the Rorum Regis, a sacred force field of Rorum that wards away dangerous animals and demons, vilekin may slip through once in a while that require the attention of adventurers or the city guards. This city is mainly populated by humans, followed by fell beasts, then roravi. |

AssurgoThe Sylph Roravi capital of Assurgo is placed strategically atop high plateaus and steep cliffs, perfect for the sky loving roravi. The architecture in this city is mostly white and light-green adorned, with a fascination with high archways and (comparative to our world) gothic style buildings. While humans are allowed within the city's confines, many sylphs are still wary and prejudice towards their presence. Many adventurer's do not make the venture up to Assurgo due to how difficult it would be to scale the cliffs without being able to fly. Roravi of other races are not allowed to stay within the city, though in rare circumstances they may be allowed to trade.
Assurgo excels in exporting fine, high luxury goods such as jewelry, high condensations of roric gem and wines. |

FerreaThe gnome roravi capital of Ferrea is located deep within the caverns and underground pools of the Heardu mountain. They use glowing stones for lighting within the caves, as fire would expend the oxygen underneath and cause illness to the roravi and humans that live there. Because of the low ceiling and lack of natural light, gnome roravi are generally flightless and duller in colour to reflect thousands of years of living within the mountains.
Ferrea is well known for exporting large amounts of iron and gold. Ferrean Artesans are also renowned for their incredible skill in smithing and armour craft. Humans are welcome in Ferrea, where trade roads and water channels have expedited travel to under a day between the cities, making the gnome roravi the most important extra-species trading partner with humans. |

IncendiWithin the bubbling, shuddering active volcano named Falonde, the salamander roravi live in the intense heat and unrelenting conditions of their capital, Incendi. Humans are rarely seen within the area due to the hostile environments that are entirely unsuited for a regular adventurer. However, with roravi roric arts or specific equipment to handle the heat, one may be able to visit this grand, obsidian-built city.
Due to their war loving nature, the city's major exports include fantastic and effective solo use weaponry, as well as other tools of destruction. Their disposition towards visitors, however, is not exactly welcoming, and it is not surprising to be forced into duels before one can enter. |

LacusBoasting beautiful underwater temples and the most affinity with roric protection artes, the gentle undine roravi have built their expansive capital beneath the waves of a giant lake. The city of Lacus is mostly inaccessible to humans unless escorted and guided down into the waters with undine roric artes (mostly for underwater breathing and sight). The buildings are generally large and open, with little paths between most. Many entryways are located at the tops of buildings, where they are most visible.
Lacus' main exports include rare fish, exquisite delicacies and unique roric artes that focus on self-protection and wards. |

AgnYapolisAgnyapolis is the large, desert capital of the Nyaga species. The large, flat area of the desert is adorned with white, geometric buildings clearly built entirely by nyaga paws. The living districts are densely packed, serving as a busy and enthralling home for nyaga and humans alike. Humans have deeply assimilated with nyaga culture and thus it is not unusual to see humans even living within the city walls and offering trade daily. At the centre of the square-shaped capital lies a beautiful oasis and palace, though the monarchy has largely been dissolved and the area has been turned into the major trading hub of the city. A large wall surrounds the city to hinder attacks from vilekin and precipitare that prey on the nyaga, who are unable to effectively use roric wards as the roravi can.
Agnyapolis' main exports include sandstone building materials, pottery, accessories, crafted equipment, manual labour services. They are also famous for their Tear of the Mirage (water from the oasis), a popular drink in these parts. |
